Sing Books with Emily, the Blog

SPBs from Australia not available in US

Posted on: August 9, 2012

Australia is a great place for picture books. The Australian culture must put a great and wonderful priority on the happiness, well-being and education of its children. Many fantastic blogs are written there about children’s books and elementary education.

I recently was lucky to get a new follower on my Pinterest (http://pinterest.com/singbooksemily/) page, to be introduced to Children’s Author Katrina Germein (http://pinterest.com/KatrinaGermein/).  Ms. Germein’s Pinterest board of “Sing-Along Storybooks” contains a bunch of books which I subsequently discovered are NOT available in the USA.  Since I’d found this to be true also for a few of the books by New Zealand’s author/songwriter Craig Smith, here is a list of Singable Picture Books I’m compiling that only seem to be available in Australia.
