Sing a Song of People
Traditional Tune (Sing to the Tune of “Sing a Song of Sixpence”)
Words Adapted by Lois Lenski
Illustrated by Giles Laroche

I like this book.  It’s a great exploration for young children of people they’ll see in city.  I think it is excellent for kids in Pre-K or Kindergarten.

It’s good to have this to add to the list of songs that are more to the level of the youngest ones and can help to mold their sensibilities to appreciate all the kinds of people in the world around them.

The rhyme of this song fits perfectly with the tune for the Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme, SING A SONG OF SIX PENCE.
