Monkey See
(Lyrics by Teddy Slater, from book “ABC Sing-Along,” sing to the tune of “This Old Man”)
Monkey see.
Monkey do.
Come meet monkey in the zoo.
If you make a face,
he might make one, too.
Monkeys love to mimic you.

This song is lots of fun to sing and, as you might imagine, MP3 vocal tracks for “Knick Knack Paddy Whack”/”This Old Man,” are plentiful. My favorite version of this song comes with the Singable Picture Book illustrated by Christiane Engel, arranged by Mark Collins, sung by SteveSongs:

I love this version of “Knick Knack” for the clever arrangement, adding a new instrument with each number, and terrific CD that includes a great vocal by SteveSongs. Best of all, an instrumental track that gets toes a-tappin’ and is perfect for singing along.
