The Singable Picture Books of Lois Lenski

Posted on: July 27, 2012

Lois Lenski was incredibly prolific, writing and illustrating scores of books for children, many of which included songs.  I’ve not done an official counting, but I believe Lois Lenski gets the prize for the most Singable Picture Books by a single author/illustrator (with a great deal of help from her frequent collaborator Clyde R. Bulla)

Please note that research for the books in this post continues.  I’m not sure, for example, if Lois Lenski wrote the music for some of the books listed.  Also, Lois Lenski lively wrote many other books with music that I’ve not located yet.  I will add items and make necessary changes as information presents itself.  Thank you!  Emily (7/7/2012)
