Arlington got a furious little snowstorm on Tuesday night.   Despite the weather, we had a full gathering of friends to sing these books at Aladdin’s Lamp on Wednesday morning:

  • All Things Bright and Beautiful (Words by Cecil Francis Alexander, Traditional tune, Illustrated by Ashley Bryan)

  • Farmer in the Dell (Traditional words and tune, Illustrated by Ilse Plume) (We sang this song with music box accompaniment from the Fisher Price wind up musical TV/Radio)
  • Marvelous Toy (Words and music by Tom Paxton, Illustrated by Steve Cox)
  • Catalina Magdelena Hoopensteiner Wallendiner Hogan Logan Bogan Was Her Name (Words adapted by Tedd Arnold, Traditional tune, Illustrated by Tedd Arnold)
  • God Bless America (Words and Music by Irving Berlin, Illustrated by Lynn Munsinger)
  • I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon (Words and Music by Jeff Moss, Illustrated by me!)
  • Selections From: A Children’s Treasury of Songs, Illustrated by Linda Bleck), we sang:
